Monday, June 30, 2008 @ 9:20 pmRV CONCERT BAND ROCKED THE VCH!!! haha... More yuhua seriously... but its our first public performance! And I think we did well I was seriously nervous during rehearsal and felt stress due to my Grand March. But before the real performance, percuz had fun teasing each other, entertaining each other so to relax. I enjoyed and relaxed and i think i didn screw up as much as i did in the rehearsal! haha... I seriously love Huntingdon celebration! The melody rocks!!! I love my bells!!! I saw xj, yy and my parents in the audience seats and i was trying my best to hide from their cameras. Coz i think i look damn weird when i was standing still waiting for my part... haha... Oh and as guest band, we cannot watch the yuhua performance coz we dun have tickets... walau.. I really wana watch yuhua's stomp! They ROCK can? One stomp takes damn lot of time and effort and sticks to complete. and someone was still critisizing it (from wad i infered)... I'm seriously tired and didn really listen during lessons today. I felt very uncomfy today, and a bit feverish thday even though my BT is normal. MY say its due to lack of sleep and tiredness. I slept very late for the pass weekend. Friday its normal to slp late sue to school and blah blah blah. Saturday, after band prac @ yuhua and section lunch, 6 of us ALs and the senior EXCOs went to Jieren's house to make Miss Chan's present, a 2000 piece puzzle measures of 102cmx97cm... I totally went crazy man!!! I got my patience tested... not too bad lah... Then we finally finished at around 1130pm. (I slept at around 12 something) We spent 7.5 hours to complete it (excluding the 6 hours the excos did on the previous day). The puzzle is damn nic lor! Its Disney!!! Just like our 3rd piece, Disney classic revue... The next morning, priscilla woke me up at 755am and followed by zile and peiling... Why they wake up so early huh? I was sleeping like a pig while they wake up to do dunno wad. Yeah then its rehearsal and concert... Dun wana repeat myself anymore... I hope my tiredness will go away as there is still speech day rehearsal tmr, I dun wana faint when carrying a bass drum or timpani half way... I will die!!!!! K i wana slp le... I'm tired! It's been pretty busy these days coz i have band on tuesday, thursday friday and today(sat). SO didn't have time to blog. Thursday we had games!!! WOOTS! Percussion VS Bass+String Bass! WTH! With the tall tall Yiming and pai kia Yew hui. OMG! But in the end percuz didn't really got trashed that badly.DDNN damn hiong lor! He could snatch ball from yiming woor! Then i shout until no voice liao=( Friday is the most tiring one even though we did not have PT in the morning. It's Speech Day Reheasal. We have to move the instrus. WAH! damn lei4 can? But no chioce, we have to help each other and morever i'm a percussionist. In the end we still got scolded for the messy-ness and stuff. Then Xueqiang was like telling us (main com.) to debrief, must scold but still must encourage, just like u slap them then give them a sweet. WOW! Thats complicated rite? But in the end Yulu said all i wanted to say, so nvm lor.... Later the meeting, wenhui gimling and another senior(4got his name) was like briefing us about sat's prac @ yuhua. They totally stressed me out man! Kinda scary... Its important to maintian discipline of the bandsmen outside school ... Sat!! Thday!!! VERY VERY nervous due to all those briefing yesterday. N on the way to yuhua sec, i dedicated a song to the ALs on YES. 93.3fm but i doubt anyone heard lor.. nvm.. I reached @ 8am and i was ON TIME, not late. Then had early warm up with zile and waited for our section's arrival. Actually nothing much also lor, we had practice in the bandrm of yuhua so we didn't need to carry percuz instru down to the hall. Then Wenrui came. haha... Gloria called him uncle, i called him Ah Beng. So in the end he is called Uncle Beng. LOL. OH. and yuhua percuz did stomp!! DAMN COOL!!! I wish we could do it one day man.. haha... then DDNN invented his own stroke. Called" Ding Ning wants to kill us stroke". Then later he play until he cmi liao n he said this :" this is called Ding Ning wants to kill himself stroke." haha... NVM. The day turned out fine and Miss Chan is not angry coz we didn't really screw up. I was like nervous in the morning, but in the end it finally ended properly. *phew* Wednesday, June 18, 2008 @ 6:24 pmAL outing was FUN!!! We played cards and drag people down the water, sabo people do unglam stuff and BBQ(unsuccessfully) and lots more............. I love Daphine's dogs!!! I love her Toy poddle Toffee!!! haha, she is so cute and guai lor... then Gummy was hi-5-ing me and licked my hand all over. But Sugar was scary! She is over friendly lah haha... I WAN A DOG TOO!!! We had BBQ. Kinda not successful. Zile and I were doing the fanning mostly (coz we are percussionists =X) The charcoal's quality sucks! And they spents a pack of paper plates and half a bottle of deourderant to start the fire! COOL RITE? haha... I was ding the BBQ-ing with Yi'en coz i didn't feel like playing "cheat" with the others... But still joined them after BBQ-ing coz i wana hav fun too!!! I am good at cheat ok? But after cheating a few rounds i was finally caught in action =( and they were on their guards on me =(((( Then zhong1 ji2 mi4 ma4. I refuse to get into the water (coz i'm a cat in nature XD JKJK) so i set numbers. Jillian boonchong and yiming got the number rite! no presents but punishments! hahahahaha... Jillian did 3 pumping in font of the snr Excos, i think they freaked out! haha... Then someone (i forgot hu) went to Yi'en and fei hon there and said "so romantic..." haha Later we also played Truth/dare(more of truth/truth) haha, YM refuses to do truth so he did a super unglam but funny dare haha!!! He was doing this "pole dance" with this damn short (compared to him) wall. OMG!!! Funny nia! but video-ing is NOT allowed haha.. k i'm not that evil.. My question was "what is the most intimidating thing you have did with a guy?" "hmm.. Hug" i answered... We left Daphine's hse at around 1030pm and I reached home at around 1140pm... I was sticky man! took a long bath and getting prepared for the next day. ~`17/06/2008`~ Woke up at 615 am and reached school around 710am. AL had to reach early to do drills together, haizz... i HATE waking up early... but there is no chioce... My hand was like paralysed coz of the fanings i did for the BBQ yesterday *clap**clap* We did drills with Sebastian and he was not very serious lor made us laugh... haha Later PT started for the band. The running was fine. but the drills were like....... K i cant find a suitable word... I was kinda messy then ppl shouting commands were having this bochap look (zileXD). There is a great room for improvments... Then Daniel was saying "the more mistakes you all make, the less respect you will gain from the band" What a philosiopher but quite true man! So everyone JIAYOU for drills and everything!!! For the musical part. I'm kinda bushuang with my juniors seriously. Always say they have tuition or anything then pon band. hu noes if its true lor... Then once enter band room then go talk and talk and talk during combined.. haizz... ~~18/06/08~~ Thday is 2K chalet! But i cant go... have tuition and have to finish homework and projects. I HATE school for all these lah... haha Saturday, June 14, 2008 @ 6:56 pmLet me blog about the past few days first... ~~ 12/6/08 ~~ Band the whole day... first sectionals!! YAY! Love percuz! We had combine sectionals with the Sec 1s.. They were so "bonded" that they will never leave each other... haha... K. Their standards... ok lah, not too bad(as a sec 1). Later sarah took them outside whil we practiced springtime and Grand march... My Grand March is terrible!!! OMG!! how am i going to perform??? Its like the first few bars are alright, but as i go on, the 5 notes became like only 3 notes left. SIAN! I WANA PLAY IT WELL!!! Maybe i shall bring the Xylo home Which is IMPOSSIBLE!!! Then lunch, the school's canteen has only a drink stall and a food stall opened. 2 stalls to feed the hungry mouths of the whole band and other CCAs (like CO) haha, the stalls must have made lots and lots of $$$!! haha I'm in main com. So made annnoucements coz only 3 main com that day. SW took attendance.. he was like, this person, how to spell? Mschan was like " u take till the sun rise liao" haha... DY took the late comers so i made annoucements.. OMG! Nervous nervous!! I was looking at the window that percuz decorated haha... ~~ 13/6/08 ~~ Its black friday! haha. Morning had running and drills, now as an acting leader, i am suppose to run outside to encourage the band and remind them somethings like tuck in shirts and run in 2 line ETC. For drills, i didn't give commands hehe, but i was checking ppls arms, shirts and stuff, so at least i still did something for the band okay? As a QM, i took the serial numbers of the spoiled instrus and took them down for repair... Nothing much lah... And oso did stock check for percussion... OMG! I realised that we had so many things lor... We had 2 bells and the other one damn rusty in the store room! OMG!! POOR BELLS!!! and i realised 1 marimba costed s$7400 and the chime costed s$7000 and each timpani cost about s$4200!!! OMG! Then for practice, huisee exchanged part with me for To the Submit, now i will play the piano! OMG! but luckily Ms chan didn't play that song lor, coz i'm sight reading an old piece that we played long time ago... But she gave us a new piece... I was supposed to play SNARE DRUM but i changed with WJ and got my bells part. There were so many syncopation, iwas counting like mad. That is NOT an easy peice, but i think surely can master one. ~~ Today ~~ I went "shopping" with Charmaine today, I bought my Dad present coz its father's day tomorrow!! And Charmaine went to buy presents for her seniors for POP. At first we were at IMM and i saw Tony there. Then we went to Vivocity coz there is nothing much at IMM. And we walked ALL day till now(i'm home). My feet got blister liao lor... PAIN!!! haha... I still love the shopping though.. I was suppose to go Causeway with another person, but i abandoned him and went with maine instead! hahahahaha... I went there straight after badminton training, coz i didn't have time to go home... So i carried my racket with me to City Hall to meet my sections... I looked damn weird man! haha... but hu cares... We met at 130 pm then i saw Mungyu, she said she was going to queue. I was like "!!!!!!" we were going to eat and they were going to queue.. WOW... Nvm... The juniors met before meeting us and treated me like transparent =( NVM. Coz i never took them for sectionals before, thats why (I think)... K. The concert. It was Beautiful indeed! I love the Percussion ensembles and solos! The part where everyone play together, its so neat and the crescendos are damn clear!!! OMG!!! If we could play until like that, it will be... WOW!!! Madeline was damn cool playing Timpani!!! OK! My new year resolution(too late) is to learn timpani well and able to play well as how i played mallets! Haha... i need help man!!! OH! And she played TWO shakers at 1 go, no wonder she demo-ed the shaker so well last time... Oh, and it was Dragon boat festival on Sunday. Made lots of Rice dumplings with mum... The process was fun, but we had to eat rice dumplings for weeks... till we finish all of them... haizz... Bored... nothing to post liao... Random-ness in the air... Where are your logics ???? Tuesday, June 03, 2008 @ 4:05 pmLet me continue my Journey in Japan... After a trip of 5 days, i think i can write a book about it coz there are just too many things to write! ~~ 31/5/2008 ~~ TOKYO DISNEY LAND !!! I love the place! But the weather was not good... It was so cold! The wind was blowing and the raining was raining heavily, but this does not stop me from wanting to go Disney land! In Disney, everyone became a kid, all those mikey mouse ears and stuff looks so cute! I went on lots of ride (indoor) like pirates of carreabin(unsure of spelling=[ ), a fake jungle, Small world and so on.... I love the pirates ride! Captain Jack looks so real!!!! Then there was this fighting scene, where canons fly and you will feel the wind as if the canon flew pass u... Nothing much to say about rides, but the shows are great too! I heard the songs that band had played in the Disney classic revue, love it! Then there was this super cool marching "band" performing. It only consist of 12 people, 3 percussionist, but they doubled up and played many instrus. The bass drum had a crash, the snare had hi-hat, and the marching tom-tom had 3 cowbells and 1 tambourine! SO COOL! I wana be like them! Able to play so well!!! There was this trumpeter, he played a birthday song for the kid beside me, it was his birthday(i guess), haha... I also went into this magic shop where they sell all those 道具 for a magic show. Then the shop attendent showed us how to use them which is some what like a magic show! It was so cool!! The magic stick just moves on its own! LOL! I'm kinda childish to still believe it move on its own... After Disneyland, We ABANDONED the tour and went to Tokyo tower ourselves! We managed to find the correct densha (Japan MRT/train) from the confusing densha map, and walked 15mins to reach the tokyo tower. The view was superb! With all those Neon lights and stuff, oh and i could still see Disney Land! Bought souveniers(again) and went food hunting! We had sushi, sashimi and some kind of tepanyaki. Oh btw, the Japan sushi is different from the singapore 1. In singapore, u choose to dip the sushi into soy saice or eat it plan, but in Japan, the "filling" of the sushi is already dipped in soy sauce and "pasted" to the rice by wasabi. No more troblesome dipping... It was 11pm plus when we finally reached the hotel. The journey (of densha) was almost 2 hours! The express densha was closed, so have to take the local one (which stop every stop). OMG almost died from it ... haha... ~~ 1/6/2008 ~~ The last day in Japan! I'm not that happy to leave u see. Anyway, that day was free, which means that we could go anywhere we wants! We went to Akihabara, a place where you get the cheapest electronic goods, and a great place to get anime, manga and see cosplay! This is where Trainman (a Jap drama, go search if u don't noe) is shot, coz trainman was a zai2 nan2 who loves Anime but later fall in love with a gal. NVM. @ Akihabara, we boght our lectronic dictionary, then my Mum decided to but me gadgets! I got a Brand new MP3!!!! HOORAY!!! Oh and a camera too... not really 4 me lah... but everyone could use it... forgot the model so i will post the pic next time... Later, we had Jap curry for lunch. In the shop, u cnt order, but buy from vending machines. U will get the ticket from the machine after u press the button, like how we buy drinks from the vending machine... Later, hand the tickets and get ur food! Jap curry is nice! Its not too spicy and smells great! We headed back to hotel after lunch and get ready for the flight. In the airport, we bought chocolates(again), its branded ok? I will only share with some ppl coz i didn but a lot haha... On the plane, i watched 27 dresses... It was so funny, and interesting too... then i watched Bambi.. Haha.. childish rite? It used to be my favourite show when i was young ok? Whatever.... Thats about all ... JAPAN IS DAMN FUN!!! I shall start with the 3rd day... ~~ 30/5/2008 ~~ We went to Mt. Fuji! woke up 630 in the morning, set out at 8 after breakfast and wash up... I was a long journey, everyone was sleeping on the bus while the tour guide is talking none stop about Japan, "自己讲自己爽-ing" It took up about 1.5 hours to go near the mountian so we could take photo with the mountian far away, but the weather was not good, so cannot see Mt. Fuji from far =( The tourguide was crapping that Fuji-san was a female, then the tour got too many female liao, she jealous then dun wana show herself... lol Later we reached the foot of the mountian, it was 10 degree celcius.. felt a bit cold... another half an hour, we reached the 5th station of the mountian... i think its 2500m above sea level... It was FREZZING!!! 4 degree celcius! And there is snow!!!!! DAMN COOL!!! Hai... long time never see snow liao! Then took some pics with the snow and played snow with BARE HANDS! FROZEN ............. NVM... then.... I wanted to buy Ice cream up there coz it wun melt, but mum didn allow... so bohbian =( bought tonnes(k, not tat many) of sourvineirs... choco, food, key chaines....... After we left the mountian, we went for lunch... The food was disappointing... juz normal bentos tat could be found in singapore =( Later we went to a temple in 浅草 after praying, lighting candles and 上香, we went to "shop" at the small shops at along the road of the temple... we bought some traditional looking mirrors and others... Next stop, GINZA! Its like Orchard road of Japan ... All the branded stuff are ALL there! I saw some women wearing kimono at ginza... Looks weird... Then the tour giude told us that they are mama-sans lol... so hard working... N Japan's ye4dian4 is so fa1da2 lor.... There is this instrument store so i went in, I found the blue-tag-like drum pad!!! Tats wad the senpai of Kashiwa used last time... So i bought it! Then there were many brand new(dur! Its a shop) percuz instrus... so went to playXD I love the cabasa lor!!! The beads are so nice to play! After shopping, we went to our hotel. this hotel is better than the last one... oh 1 extra information about ALL hotels in Japan. There is this pay TV where u buy a prepaid card to watch R(A) Movies... LOL But pay TV have normal movies too.... Thats about all for the 3rd day. others tmr bah... lazy to type le.. BB =) |
