After 3 years Thursday, July 16, 2015 @ 11:17 amI'm done with my assignment at my internship, so I thought why don't I log in to blogger again, just to have a look. OH GOSH. I saw a few of my old blogs (IDK why i had a few blogs with a few posts) and posts from the past. GOSH. I can't believe I used to write like that #muchshame
I guess there would only be 1 person reading this post since all my other friends either didn't know about this or have already forgotten about this since the last update was 3 years ago.
I just wanna say that, maybe, it's good to start this thing all over again. It will be a good way for me to reflect upon the new stuff I've learnt in that 155 days of havoc, and also to sort out my confused/complicated/messed up life of the past few weeks.

Sunday, December 16, 2012 @ 2:34 amI know its been more than a week after my birthday, but still, I wanna write this post to thank all of you who celebrated my birthday with me. No matter if it is going out with me, or a birthday surprise, and not forgetting the SMSes and Facebook messages, I really appreciate the effort and thought put in! Once again, thank you guys so much!!! Lets go in chronological order. ++==30/11/12==++ I finished my exams on 29th, so decided to go shopping with Danna on this day to reward ourselves, and then have dinner together with Vivian and Elanor since they just finished a paper. So it was usual shopping at Vivo city, got myself a star pattern shirt which was at a reasonable price (but it lost its elasticity after the first wash! DAMN! too cheap T^T). Danna spent more i guess, anyway, the shopping trip was enjoyable due to the people I was with *raise eyebrows* hahahahaXD In the evening we went to Clementi to meet up with the other 2, and we went to Ootoya for Japanese food as our dinner~ (Note: I have not suspected a thing!) When Danna and I went over to some benches when i saw Vivian busily scribbling on something, I wanted to go over to call them before Danna pulled me After buying some stuff from Body Shop and really meeting up with the other 2, we went into the restaurant and settled down. Danna and I went to the ladies after settling down and on the way back, right at the door of the restaurant, she pulled me again and pointed to this very cute pig at the store beside Ootoya before going back the restaurant. Yes, now the best part, this strange conversation. Vivian "Now?" Elanor "Later?" Danna "Later she know liao." Elanor "Then now lor" Vivian *blur* "now ah....." *Vivian continue looking lost* Me *Points* "Aiya i see the cake already! LOL!!!!" *burst out laughing* *everyone laughed* Yup~ Kinda spoilt birthday surprise, but its the thought that counts! THANKS GIRLS! LOVE YOU! XOXO But seriously I did not expect something like this!!! I have never had a birthday surprise with birthday cakes and presents! Fortunately they did not say anything sentimental, if not I will burst into tears, I AM SERIOUS about this. *DO NOT TRY THIS!* Yup, so here is the cake!  And the hand made card by Vivian, filled with lovely messages from my dear girls! Vivian is SOOOOO GOOD at art work! I was feeling the pressure making her farewell present hahahaXD  And here is the lovely paper cutting from my Danna, everyone is so talented!!! OMG Pressure haha  ++==02/12/12 (My birthday :D)==++ My Facebook Wall was flooded with wishes! Thank you guys! The earliest was Juztin at 12:03am #justsaying I was really surprised! hahaha Or maybe he was coincidentally on facebook LOL Here is the present I got for myself!  Then after that, I went to have dinner with my parents, ate Chinese food that night at Bugis Junction. It was some Man Tou shop, forgot the name :X but it was really nice! After dinner, we went to shop and Dad got me this! hehehe love it!  We got a cake before going home, and I cut my second cake and made me birthday wishes :)   ++==03/12/12==++ Congratulations to Zhaoxue and Alicia for completing their A levels and gaining their long longed freedom!!! I went for a full body massage and facial in the morning to relieve all the tensed muscles from finals before meeting them for KTV in the afternoon. Zhaoxue was late as she went to find a teacher, after coming into the room she went out again, I was puzzled. Then she came in with this:  Also, the people of KTV part world was really nice to lend her (or rather us) the lighter, the tray and paper plates. So this is my third cake, made the same wishes for the third time, hoping that they will really come true! I totally did not expect this as I really wanted this sessin to be for them to declare their freedom, and did not expect to be in the limelight. But oh well, I really appreciate this! THANK YOU!!! LOVE YOU!!! MUACKX And then I received presents from them too, other than the cake. SURPRISE LEVEL TIMES 3 Present from Alicia, she is trying to complete my Rilakkuma collection! hahaha And thanks for trying to write my name n Chinese! I know its hard, so I appreciate it a lot <3 class="separator" p="p" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">  THANKS! 爱你哦~  ++==05/12/12==++ Shopping trip with Yawen and Rachel. Got myself magazines, with all my Ikemen of course hehehehe^^ Oh when i met up with Yawen at the MRT, she got me this big bag of dunno what and she said it was my birthday present. I was like O.O Dunno how to react. hahahaXD but shopping trip was really fun! And i really like that leather pants on sale at H&M! Shall go back to get them very soon before the Christmas sale is over! hahahaXD I had to relief a Chinese class that night so i went back first. Then i opened the present when i went home and i was shocked, like, again... SURPRISE LEVEL TIMES 4 TADDAAAA~  I love my friends, seriously! Surprise me with all kinds of crazy yet lovely ideas! Yup thank you all for the effort and presents and surprises and the cakes! OMG best birthday for now~ More to come as i grow older hahahaXD Oh and not forgetting the present from my beloved childhood friend whom I've known for 10 years! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I love it a lot! Sorry that I haven't been home for a while and only opened it today after so long hahahaXD Thanks again :)  Yup that's about all. Oh and one more thing before i forget. I'm quite into photo editing recently, not with photoshop though, but using this software from China known as 美图秀秀, its really useful! It simplifies a lot of the tedious jobs in photoshop by having templates and stuff, and the most important thing is that it does not hang your laptop as much as photoshop! haha. So as you can see, all my photos are edited with MTXX. Yup here is a before after. It is a life saver for people like me who can never take nice photos! haha

Life of PI Sunday, December 02, 2012 @ 2:34 amAfter so long, I've finally come back to update this dead blog. While getting used to this new template on blogger, this reminds me of how long i haven't been keeping track of my life, letting the days pass as it is, not taking down the minor details that made my day. Alright, time to add "blogging" into my routine! I think i shall start afresh now, since I've got no more GP but still need good English to write all kinds of reports in school, I shall try to write in good English. The key word here is TRY. Yes, I WILL TRY. hahahaXD Without an prior plans, I went to watch "Life of PI" today(or rather yesterday) with my parents. I;m not sure if you all have watched the movie yet, but things that my dad said made me think a lot after the movie. So I shall do some kinda review/reflections (which i have never done before after any movies haha)  (SPOILER ALERT! DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED YET!) Disclaimer: My own thoughts! No right or wrong answers! In the movie, PI started with how he got his name, his family, his background and of course, his zoo. The only interaction with the animals shown in the movie was the tiger named Richard Parker. He wanted to "make friend" with Richard Parker by giving him food without his father's concern. His father, who was noticed by the brother, was very disappointed with PI's dangerous act, hence showed him that animals are not humans as they do not have the same feelings as us. His father gave Richard Parker a live goat, and the tiger tore the goat into pieces and brought it back to its "cave" to enjoy the sumptuous meal. Tiger aside first, the movie mentioned that this story is a story that would make you believe in god (I think god here does not mean God, but rather any of the spiritual beings you believe in). PI followed 3 religions, and his father was kinda against it (I think) as he said "believing in all 3 religions means that you actually do not believe in any". But anyway, that not very important part. So that whole adventure started when the family have to move to Canada due to some reasons (according to Wiki, political situations in india was the cause) and they had to bring the animals to Canada for sale. During the trip, they met with a terrible thunderstorm. The ship sunk, everyone else died except for PI who was the only human survivor. He survived on a boat with an injured zebra, an Orang utan and a hyena. Due to hunger, the hyena attacked and killed the zebra, then the Orang Utan. PI was so angry and sad as he can't accept the natural way of how the food chain worked in nature. Suddenly the tiger Richard Parker jumped out from the boat's tarp, attacked and ate the hyena. Out of fright, PI made a raft out of the boat and maintained a distance with the tiger. Throughout the journey, he made attempts to train the tiger and managed to gain the tiger's trust. Also, it was the tiger's presence, that caused fear, to enable PI to be able to survive until he landed on Mexican shore. (Yes I skipped a lot here.) When they landed, PI collapsed on the shore, but it was Richard Parker who made the first step into the forest. Without looking back (as a sign to say goodbye) he went into the forest and PI lost him ever since then. When he was resting in the hospital, Japanese officials came to visit him to learn more about how the ship sank (yes, forgot to mention that the ship was a Japanese cargo ship). So PI told them this story with the zebra, orang utan, hyena, the tiger, and all the adventure he had went through with the tiger. However, they did no believe him and so he told them another story. He said he survived on the boat with an injured sailor who was also a vegetarian and ate gravy and rice on the ship, a cook, and his mother. The sailor's leg was beyond help as it was infected badly. Everyone on the boat tried to save him but in the end they failed. The cook suggested that to use him as a bait for food, but the mother was against it as it was brutal, the cook killed her in the end and used both of them as bait. PI could not take it an killed the cook, surviving the journey himself until he made it to Mexico. The official seemed to believe the second story although both stories did not explain how the ship sank. (According to wiki the officials chose the first story) In this story, the sailor represented the zebra, the mother represented the Orang utan, the cook as the hyena and PI being the tiger. He asked the writer which story did he prefer, and he chose the second story with the animals. The movie ended with a happy ending as PI has started anew with his own family. (SPOILER ENDS HERE) After the movie, dad asked me which story did I believe in. Without much thought, I answered the first one, because it was more interesting. The poster of the movie was the boy and the tiger, and most of the show was spent talking about hoe gained the tiger's trust and how they managed to survive together. I thought it was a movie about perseverance and friendship (although the tiger kinda abandoned him after they got on shore). Then dad said he believed in the second story instead, and this made me think a lot and thus this blog post. He said the second story was more likely to happen and the movie was actually showing the brutality of humans that would only be shown during situations like this. However, if the show and the book just told the story like that, it would be a thriller. If you read deeper into the lines, you will find out that its more about the inner evil people had when they are in a dangerous situation that people had to fight for survival. Yeah, I kinda agree, and now I start to doubt myself, so which story was true? There is no way to prove which is true or which was fake. And also now i start to think of all the movies and books I have read, are they just the way they are I read them, or did they have a deeper meaning that I did not actually find out. hmm good question to ponder about. Back to the movie, so if the second story was true, so does that mean that the tiger was the other side of PI that he himself did not realise that was within him? And when the tiger left without looking back, does that mean his evil thoughts have left him as he is back to civilisation? Or does that mean he wants to forget about all these cruel reality about the human society? Hmm... good questions to ponder about again. Ok, I think I should not think about this too much now since its just a movie!!! Content aside, I think this is a good movie, worth your money to watch in the cinema, and better still if you can get the 3D tickets (or if they are financially acceptable for you since many of us are still students) The effects are beautiful! Haha after so long that i neglected my blog, and I start with this kinda thing to post. haha. Maybe many of you will skip this post b'cause its a gigantic spoiler, but I'm proud of myself writing so long after finals haha! Shall just summarise first since i need to wake up slightly earlier so that I could spend my day at the beach! haha. Anyway, Since i did not get to rest as i flew back immediately after resigning from my job, I spent the first few days in China leading a pig's life. I wake up at 10am everyday, eat, watch tv, go out for a walk, chat with my grandparent, eat, sleep, eat, sleep.... Yes, a pig's life! hahaha Then I went to Dandong, and camped at the potentially dangerous border (Quoted from Samuel) that I could be caught for trespassing if i took a few more steps entering north korea. We went there for the beautiful scenery btw, not for the historical values hahahaXD. Will upload photos and write details. After spending 3 days in Dandong, I came back and started shopping..... So its shopping shopping shopping shopping .... ... .. . For now, bought many accesories, 2 nail polishes, 6 t-shirts/tops, a pair of jeans a Rilakkuma Bagpack and a long skirt! hahaha~ Also, helped out at my cousin's stall. She sells something like the singaporean yong tau fu, will explain again. today will only post main points. Today, went to the country side to visit my maternal side grandparents and my 2nd aunt. I love the clean air and the scenery in the country side. Not forgetting the animals that i love. The vegetables are so fresh and they are organic, yes, very healthy! hmm... yup thats about all for now. Actually I wanted to share about my trip in China, but when i landed in SG, I repacked my luggage to get ready to fly to Phuket. Then when i returned from Phuket, I started to plan for the "tour" around Singapore for my Uncle and family who came to visit. Not long after they left, I got a job and did not have time to write blog posts. So as you can see, i was really busy! (LOL! That was full of BS on top, although everything on top is true, but the real reason of not posting is the building up of stuff to post and LAZINESS) Since I can't sleep, then i shall start updating my life. Slowly. Bit by bit. Ok, let me share about work. I've been working for about a month already, working in NTU but not for NTU. LOL~ I really dunno what department i belong to since i do both purchasing and Human Resourse (HR). Coz its a small side office in NTU, each department is represented by one person, as a new SK Warrior, i help both persons and thus, I know both departments' job scopes and do both tasks. Its really convenient i should say, because if anyone of them is on leave, i could at least help to keep the department running. So, achievement that is. LOL So what do i do for my job? I feel that i do more HR than purchasing. As my company has many foreign workers, I'll have to look after their welfare. Below are some of the cases i've been through: 1) Worker needs new pants 2) Worker wants to see doctor (so give them this form to see doc to waive fees) 3) Worker gives me MC 4) Worker's salary got mistake 5) Worker wants to resign 6) Worker's WP is gonna expire .... ... .. . So on and so forth.... Its quite tiring i should say, but i feel that its a good learning experience though. I've learnt many things that i couldn't learn by helping out at my mum's school... Not that bad a thing to do i should say... Shall not go on to rant/complain about the things i don't like there. Later they see liao then i GG... hahaha. Since i'm working from Mon to Fri, I really see my friends less than before. You know who you are, yes i miss you! I wanna meet ppl for dinner frequently to talk and rant or simply just eat dinner. I feel that due to work or something, I'm losing track of the important ppl of my life and i feel kinda isolated T^T OMG SABISHII~~~~~ LOL So please, if I ask you out for dinner, do come with me~ Pretty please:) Flying soon~ Friday, January 06, 2012 @ 9:11 pmHi all!
